The Scots College

The Scots College, established in 1893, is one of Australia's oldest and most respected independent boys schools.It offers a wide and varied range of academic, sporting and co-curricular opportunities for students from Nursery (pre-school) through to Year 12.

The College has approximately 180 teachers and offers a wide and varied range of academic, vocational, sporting and co-curricular subjects and activities.

With approximately 1600 students in attendance, of whom 235 are boarders, the College proudly boasts a student population with a broad and culturally diverse range of backgrounds.

Our curriculum is designed to cater for boys’ unique style of learning, which empowers them to develop their full potential. Our unique outdoor education program promotes self-reliance, independence, self-motivation and leadership.

The College aims to equip its students so that, on leaving school, they should possess the skills and values necessary to make a positive contribution to society as responsible adults.
